Comedy Central UK has announced that comedian Katherine Ryan will join Jimmy Carr to co-host the brand new series of Your Face or Mine, the cult-classic, couples-based comedy in which your face can win you cash.

The ‘Tinder inspired’ revival of the classic couples gameshow features a series of revelation-filled rounds, where couples are forced to compare their looks with other people’s – and ultimately with each other’s – in this relationship-testing game.

Originally from Canada, Katherine is currently dominating the UK television and live comedy scenes, starring in BBC’s Live At The Apollo and Would I Lie To You, Sky One’s A League Of Their Own and Bring The Noise and Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. In 2016, Katherine flew to New York with Richard Ayoade for Channel 4’s Travel Man and to Rio for the Paralympics with Channel 4’s The Last Leg; hosted BBC’s Have I Got News For You and Comedy Central At The Comedy Store for Comedy Central UK and won the second series of Taskmaster for UKTV / Dave.

Katherine’s new six part series How’d You Get So Rich? is due to air on Channel 4 in March this year and she is only the second British-based comedian to have a worldwide Netflix Original Comedy Special, Katherine Ryan: In Trouble, which goes out in 190 countries on the 14th February.

The Standup and TV favourite has signed up to co-host the show alongside one of the country’s best-loved comedians, Jimmy Carr, who presented the original version of Your Face or Mine on E4 and Channel 4 from 2002.

Katherine Ryan commented;"Jimmy Carr and I have a shared understanding that you've got to be cruel to be kind. I am elated to be joining Jimmy on Your Face or Mine for Comedy Central. They were wise to bring on one of the country's humblest and most stunning women to guide couples in judging each other's looks."

Louise Holmes, VP of Programming, Comedy Central UK, commented; “I have been a massive fan of Katherine’s for years and I am absolutely delighted she is joining the Comedy Central team to co-host the revival of Your Face or Mine. Katherine’s razor sharp wit alongside Jimmy’s impeccable comedic timing make them the perfect presenting duo for a game that will test even the nation’s strongest couples.”

Comedy Central UK has commissioned Talkback to produce two new series of the successful noughties gameshow, which has been commissioned by Louise Holmes, VP of Programming, Comedy Central UK and will be Executive Produced by Leon Wilson and Ed Sleeman for Talkback. The show will be shot in front of a live audience next month and is slated to air in spring.
